  • GroupX classes are fun and range from easy to high intensity:
    • Spin is a good class
    • Boxing
    • Abs and Glutes
    • HIIT (with Randy)
    • Bootcamp (with Karen, outside in the summer months–can be a bit hot)

  • Intramurals are a great way to meet other people interested in your sport. Ask around on the RI slack or keep an ear to the ground! Basketball and soccer both have robotics IM teams!
  • Yoga classes both on and off campus! Try Amazing Yoga ( which has 30 days of unlimited classes for $30.
  • Quite a few RI folks climb at Ascend PGH . Ask on the RI slack to join a group!
  • Running trails:
    • Panther Hollow Trail – Bridle Trail in Schenley Park
    • North Park also has good running and hiking trails
  • Bike trails:
    • Frick park has good MTB trails
    • Great Allegheny passage (goes from Pittsburgh to DC) is the best bike trail around
    • The trail along the North shore from point State to the Allegheny Jail (on one side) and the 40th St bridge (on the other side) is great!
  • Take advantage of Pittsburgh’s Open Streets events, where streets are closed off to allow you to run/bike/walk on them!
